I love going to thrift stores to see what I can find.At Goodwill they have these grab bags full of stuff for anywhere from $1-$4 and in them you can find some pretty good stuff. In one I got for $1 I found a mechanical pencil that I looked up on the net and found out that it was made by Wahl and that it was worth about $45. In another one I got an unusual looking tie clip and found it for $30 does'nt sound like much but when you add it all up it is.Besides it is just fun to look!!!

Almost my entire house is furnished and decorated with second-hand stuff and most of it has been purchased at Goodwill. It would just be too many things to mention, but I have bought lamps, art, shelving, furniture, etc.

In my hometown we also have a St. Vincent de Paul Society in addition to the Goodwill and the Salvation Army stores. I agree with you, wildthing69. The thrill of the hunt is exhillarating. Oh, and by the way, my house looks like a million bucks. It's a matter of spending the time looking, and making wise purchases.

You both are so right. You never know what you will find at A thrift store. I find depression glass and art glass. The money all goes to A good cause to. Yard sales can be very good to. Happy hunting!!!

I bought my kids clothes today at Savers..spent 65.00 I got really nice stuff, however I was sad they only had one school uniform. I bought 2 beatles figures for 14.00, each were in the package they were originally bought in. I figure since they are new I can send em to my mom next Christmas.

I have bought some of my best jeans at the thrift store. I found Lei and Mudd. I didnt find any today at savers..I plan on going to goodwill or the salvation army. I am gonna have to look as this is the first one I have been to since moving to Phoenix AZ. When I lived in Va we would go to a lot of diff. ones, the best one there was owned by the childrens hospital. They had good prices. All the money went to the patients etc.
